With the generous donations from many supporters, some of whom are mere children themselves, Viet Toc Foundation has officially begun to support 211 students in remote mountain tribes of Pleiku, Cheoreo, Kontum, and Bao Loc in Viet Nam, for the 2000-2001 school year. We also have been fortunate enough to be able to provide financial support to 9 teachers to assist the children with schooling.
We sincerely invite your generous support, as well as the assistance of youth groups abroad, in joining us to help create a better future for our less fortunate brothers and sisters. We strongly believe by providing the means for education, we are helping to create a more civilized community for the next generations.
Needless to mention, the mountain tribes people in Viet Nam live in the extreme poverty in remote highland regions. At a very young age, children follow their parents into the fields to plow or gather dried cow manure to sell for meager prices in order to live.
A $40 scholarship is enough to sustain a child for one school year through junior high level. And, we hope to work with you to assist these minority children in obtaining a brighter future by providing them with the means to obtain an education.
On behalf of the mountain tribes children, we thank you for your continued support.
